Kamonya (K.I)

Market Research, Human-Centred Design and Marketing Strategy

Kamonya (K.I) is a market research, human-centred design and marketing strategy professional with nearly twenty years of experience turning customer understanding into behaviour change and business impact.

Her career began with a simple curiosity: understanding people. That curiosity took her from uncovering the motivations and unmet needs behind customer decisions, to leading qualitative research across six Sub-Saharan African markets, to owning the commercial results of customer-led strategy. Today, she leads cross-functional teams that design, pilot and scale initiatives across marketing, retention, product and customer experience.

Kamonya believes the strongest business strategies start with people: their behaviours, aspirations and the things they do not say out loud. Every challenge begins with one question: what will drive people to act? Her approach stays consistent: understand people, uncover the insight, design the intervention and measure the impact.

She is especially known for bringing frontline teams into the story, aligning sales, marketing and service around a shared customer truth so that every touchpoint reinforces the same message.

Eben (L.E)

Research, Behaviour Change and Human-Centred Design

Eben (L.E) works at the intersection of research, human-centred design, user experience and behavioural science. He combines consumer psychology, cultural intelligence and decision science to uncover human truths that help businesses and organisations design meaningful experiences, shape behaviour and drive impact.

His experience spans multi-country research, innovation and behaviour change programmes across Sub-Saharan Africa. He explores how people think, make decisions, navigate their environments and respond to products, services and interventions, translating these insights into actionable strategies and measurable outcomes.

Eben has led research and human-centred design projects across more than 14 Sub-Saharan African markets, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, South Sudan, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Guinea (Conakry), Senegal, South Africa, Zambia and Mozambique. This work has developed his understanding of the cultural, social and economic contexts that shape behaviour across diverse communities.

He works with multidisciplinary teams on business and development challenges, bringing together research, programme implementation, stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking. His cross-sector experience includes FMCG, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, agriculture, education, governance and youth development.

G.A.

Data, Technology, AI and Business Strategy

G.A. works at the intersection of data science, technology, artificial intelligence, business strategy and ecosystem design. Her work connects market understanding with the commercial, operational and technology choices needed to build and grow businesses.

She brings experience in complex studies across industries and specialised market assignments, including work involving regulated businesses and interconnected financial services ecosystems. Her approach considers the full picture: customer needs, market dynamics, regulatory requirements, technology infrastructure, product design and routes to market.

Her areas of work include digital payments and embedded finance, business model development, go-to-market strategy, financial forecasting, and investment and funding propositions. She examines how products and services work across their lifecycle, from adoption and activation to retention, revenue growth and long-term sustainability.

G.A. also works on the practical application of AI and data to business challenges, including customer and merchant segmentation, product opportunities, workflow improvement and the translation of complex requirements into development priorities. Her perspective connects business objectives with the systems, processes and partnerships required for delivery.

Across assignments, her focus is on making complex decisions workable: turning evidence into clear choices, aligning commercial and operational requirements, and defining a practical path from concept to implementation.
